01 / ABOUT THE PLACE

About this place

With each spoonful, the impression of sweetness shifts—a visitor’s account of a parfait at MAISON DU CREER captures that pleasure. The name of the parfait was unclear, but the layers began with a macaron, followed by a lava cake whose rich sweetness was balanced by the bitterness and aroma of cacao. Vanilla gelato, with a lingering note of tea, came next, then cocoa ice cream and the tartness of grapefruit. At the bottom, cocoa cookies and hazelnut chocolate sauce brought the sequence to a close. The visitor was struck by how each bite offered something different to discover.

“Chocoholic” is another menu highlight, and one guest who came specifically for a parfait shared detailed impressions of a creation layered with chocolate components and baked sweets. Another visitor singled out a canelé-shaped fondant chocolate, noting that its centre was slightly molten.

For cake, consider the Mont Blanc. Beneath its chestnut paste are light mascarpone cream, a sponge-like tart base soaked in coffee syrup, and layers of milk chocolate and hazelnut. It offers a different kind of layered pleasure from the parfait, contained within a single cake. The same visitor enjoyed it with a café au lait and noted that the Mont Blanc was generously sized.

Cakes and baked sweets from the shop can also be taken away. One visitor who chose several items as a birthday gift was pleased with how attractive they looked. With both dine-in and takeaway options, the shop suits a visit for a parfait or cake, as well as a search for something to bring as a gift.
